most places along the south shore, there is just no fish. the reef is just too flat for too long, but when you find a nice cave in the reef, you could hit the jackpot. about 15 years ago, my friend mike and i use to spend days and days scouting the reef on the south shore. then when we would find a spot, i would mark it on my gps. then when we needed fish, we would go to this spot because there are hundreds of fish living in that cave. one drop, one fish. it was that easy. after we had enough for dinner, we’d leave, knowing it will always be there. this is one of my favorite places for menpachi and i hope nobody else finds it. here i am going down 30′ with a pole spear visiting my lifetime refrigerator.
i want to thank Mrs. Abe for the wonderful present. she told me the story about Sendai Shirou, who was a real person from sendai who brought good fortune to the businesses he visited. i have this sitting in front of my computer and if i get even a little better fortune than i’m already getting, i’ll be a lucky man.
