omg, you couldn’t have asked for a better diving day than today. yesterday i already knew so i called the boys, we met at my house at 6am, and went diving on the east side. the boys were excited, so was i.
Kyle Nakamoto’s has a dream life by doing what he loves best, dive! Isaiah Moniz is my nephew and when i called him last night, the first thing he asked me was “how deep?” haha. then Kailen is probably the best diver of the young guns. he’s got super good bottom time, and super good stalking skills. you need a guy like this in the kids group so everybody will get better.
as we passed by chinaman’s hat, i was thinking about how beautiful this side of the island was. it’s like tahiti!
i always try to spear my fish in the head. that way, you don’t damage the meat in the body, and the fish doesn’t suffer. this uhu had no chance as it tried to run away from me.
about lunch time, our cooler was full of a variety of fish. so we came in early, washed up, and did the long drive home. i feel so good now, feel fresh, healthy, and relaxed. i did 65 dives today and i felt like i could dive more. but there’s always tomorrow right? the waves in town was going off today too. tomorrow will be better as we welcome the trade winds back. offshore, overhead, and perfect south swell. i’m surfing all day tomorrow!
