well, today is the longest day of the year and the start of summer! gosh, i thought summer started 2 months ago? oh well, just keep on having fun and enjoying!
i had a wonderful time with Takagi-san today. it was her first time surfing and i couldn’t believe how good she was. from her first wave, she stood right up, and rode every wave after that perfectly. she kept on looking forward, and kept her knees bent. it was awesome! then we went sightseeing after that. i took her to one of my favorite secret spots on the island. it doesn’t get any bluer than this.
then we drove by sandy beach and a hawaiian monk seal was taking a nap on the beach. a lucky day!
then one of the best views in the world, makapuu. every time i’ve gone there since i paddled from there to waikiki, i think i’m freaking crazy. it’s crazy enough in the day, but doing it in the dark was pretty stupid after i think about it. if i got lost at sea, people would think i deserved it. i don’t think i’ll ever do that again. i’ll wait until i can see next time before i leave the beach.
and speaking of beaches, here i am enjoying myself in molokai. i think i’m in love with the ocean. i can be in it all day long.
wanted to thank Iwasaki-san for the japanese snacks. i’ll be munching on these on the airplane!
well, tomorrow will be a super long day for me. waking up at 4am, then won’t sleep for a long time. the busy me continues.
