i get home at 1am late last night. it was raining, storming, and really windy. i park the truck on the street and run into my house. i heard the rain and wind all night long from my bed. i wake up this morning, walk to the truck, and see something like a nightmare!!!!
OMG! somebody parked their scooter right next to the truck and the wind blew it down. made 2 dents on the door and i was standing in the rain in shock!
from all my experience in these kind of damages, i estimate about $600 to fix it. OMG!
so to all you people out there. if somebody hits your car, or you get into an accident, call 911. call the police, make a police report, and take photos. then report it to your insurance and let them take care of it. now i have to make an appointment to get the damage estimated, go back and forth with insurance company on who will pay for it, then take the car to get it fixed, drop it off, get picked up, no car for a couple of days, get dropped off, and pick it up. it’s such a freaking hassle and a waste of my time! that’s why i’m so shocked!!!
you know the weird thing about this whole thing? last night i was supposed to drive my friends brand new Porsche 911 home because i borrowed it to go drifting around the streets on the east side this morning. i actually jumped in it and thought to myself “i can’t park this thing on the street where i live.” so i got out and drove the truck home. lucky me huh? from $600 of damage to a Ford, it could have been $6,000 of damage to a Porsche. but hey, the drifting went fine today with the wet roads. haha.
