where’s your favorite Pho in hawaii? i have a couple places i frequently visit but when Mi-chan wanted to eat at a new place, i was all for it. i like to try something different so i went there with an open mind. it’s called Pho Bistro 2 and is on the top of Kalakaua Ave.
i ordered the combination pho which cost $9.75. want to hear my true opinion? at first, the soup base was kind of sweet. but after a while, i got use to it and it tasted good. the meat inside was very good. the price was a little expensive. but the thing that made me cautious was there were hardly any customers in the restaurant. if you’ve eaten at a good Pho restaurant like BacNam or Hale Vietnam, it’s packed during lunch hours. Pho Bistro 2 was kind of empty. after eating the whole thing, i came to my conclusion. would i go again? probably. i prefer Bac Nam, but when i want to eat Pho on sunday, Bac Nam is closed so my next choice is now Pho Bistro 2. so say goodbye to Hale Vietnam.
this is the coolest couple! Sato-san’s been training so hard to surf in hawaii. yes, i was impressed on his improvements yesterday. Mi-chan can become a very successful hawaii food guide. she knows much more than me about all the restaurants in hawaii. thanks to you both for a wonderful morning!
i’m starting to like the small days because i can practice long boarding. 2 years ago i couldn’t do a thing on it, but now i can hang 5 pretty easily. and i can also catch any wave in the ocean because it paddles like a rocket. i don’t complain on small days anymore. enjoy it!
