Everything we Say and Do is a Choice!

wow, another action packed day! started off early this morning when i went to a meeting at kaimuki middle school. i was hanging out in the library and seen this sign.
EVERYTHING WE SAY AND EVERYTHING WE DO IS A CHOICE
i truly believe this and i hope all the middle schoolers make the right choices as they grow up into fine young adults.

then this sign caught my attention.
BEWARE: Beware of your mouth.. Foul mouths will PAY the foul 25 cents. this means that every time you say a bad word, you have to put 25 cents in the chicken. if we had this when i was going to middle school, i would be broke. when i look back, i probably had the worst mouth in hawaii. every other word was foul. i’m glad i fixed that recently. haha.

after kaimuki middle school, i went to sell my friends car, then to the bank, then to the insurance company, then to my grandpa’s house. he was cutting the grass and when i offered to help him, he said “no thanks, this is how i stay healthy.” we talked for a while, then he went back to cutting the grass in the hot sun. 94 years old and very strong! and like usual, i left his house watching in my rear view mirror as he kept waving goodbye. then when i took the corner and he was out of my sight, the tears came rolling down like always. i really miss my grandma fukunaga, and i know my grandpa misses her much more.

i speed off to another meeting. that went well as i left happy. then i get home, load up the truck, and head down to catch the evening boat session. we get out at sunset, and get in at pitch dark. the lights in waikiki, the shadow of diamond head, the sailboats, and the thousands of stars. what a way to end this awesome day.

it was rough, the current was strong, and i couldn’t see a thing. but when you’re in the ocean just by feeling, you don’t have to see anything. just relax and feel it!

tomorrow is another day of action. going to take Poi-man’s son surfing for the first time. then have a super fun party to attend tomorrow night. race cars, jacksan, and lots of friends. it’s going to be awesome!
