hey, did you all hear about JAL? they are in big ass trouble financially. people are calling it japan’s largest ever corporate failure. they just announced that they will be cutting 16,000 more jobs, which is about one-third of its workforce. oh my gosh!!! i hope my friends that work there are ok.
JAL is also cutting 45 money losing domestic and international routes. bali being one of them. yeah, come october 1 of this year, no JAL flights to bali. that means only garuda will fly there direct so expect prices to go up. yup, we call it in america, a monopoly. i’m kind of bummed because i used JAL all the time for my bali trips. not what?? here are the options if you still want to use jal to go to bali. fly JAL from hawaii to narita, then from narita to jakarta, then fly garuda to dempasar. that’s one way. another way i recommend is flying on JAL from hawaii to narita, then from narita to kuala lumpur, then fly air asia to dempasar. staying overnight in malaysia is much more fun and safer than jakarta. or another way is flying on china air from hawaii to narita, then narita to taipei, then taipei to dempasar. sound confusing? not really, just takes a lot more time….
can somebody lend JAL the $6.2 billion (521.5 billion yen) to get them back on track? SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP JAL….
