can you believe okinawa is just a 1 hour and 15 minute flight away from taiwan? i think i found my new typhoon chasing course! a ticket cost $250 and surfboards are free! fly china air!
we get here at 10pm and was super hungry. Kimura-san asked me what i wanted to eat. i was craving for yakiniku so we ate the best yakiniku in chatan. felt good to be back in okinawa with friends i’ve known for half my life.
then we go to Hard Reef where us surfers gather every single night. when the shots come out, i usually run away. but when they bring out the snake sake or habushi, you have to stick around for your warm welcome to this friendly island! sit back and enjoy the buzz!

then to see little brother Seth carrying one side, another hawaiian champ Kalani David on the other, then older brother Isaiah in the back made me really happy and really proud of these hawaiians. these kids are representing hawaii in the best possible way.
when i see this facial expression of Josh, i know this kids in a happy place. i still can’t believe how this kids grown up so fast. but to me, he’s still my little cute nephew. i just can’t squeeze his puffy cheeks anymore. haha.
another check going into the bank. $4,500! as for the shoe? i don’t know what he’s going to do with that.
well, my trip is coming to an end. this week went by so fast. i look back at photos and enjoy every memory. i chose this life, and this life i chose is the ultimate way to happiness! i still think everything is still a dream. so please don’t wake me up.
