i woke up, went to grab my surfboard in the garage, then looked at my poor boat. just being neglected and so dirty. so i hook her up to the truck, stick my surfboard and speargun in the back, then head to the ocean. and after being in the water all day, i thought to myself, this is where and what i want to do! i speared dinner, i got some nice shells, and i caught a very good wave. what more could you ask for?
so i pick up Inaidasan and Yukisan from the beach, speed over to bowls, catch a few good waves, and drop them off. none of us tired of paddling and none of us sunburnt. it was actually too easy. entering the lineup is a totally different world from behind. you paddle in, ride a swell, stand up, and smile!
we do these mini boat trips sometimes and it’s super fun and easy. and as i was driving back to the harbor, i was thinking about something….
4 years ago i put my name on the waiting list to get a slip for a boat. i ended up taking my name off 2 years ago because i was too busy. it’s a 4-5 year waiting period to get one and this year would have been my turn. shucks! so after diving, surfing, and enjoying the ocean today, i decided to put my name back on the list. i’m going to start doing this again because when i drove home, i was so happy! the only thing that sucks is taking my boat out of the water, washing it, driving it home, backing it up into my little garage, and preparing it for next time. if i could park my baby at the yacht harbor, my dream will come true! and so will my friends. haha!
