was super happy to go to the event in Waseda today. some people from Tohoku came to grill their goods, including Naomi-san and Ryoko-san. it’s always good to see them! Matsu was already there helping with cooking the fresh scallops. omg, i love scallops and i love fresh!
the kids were enjoying it. gosh, when i was a kid growing up in hawaii, my mom never bought me scallops. lucky japanese kids!
then they had a full petting farm too. animals, rabbits, goats, sheep, chickens, and even mice. yucky!
cool petting zoo for the kids.
after seeing these chickens, i started to miss my chickens Pepper, Peanut, and Butter.
Hiyori-chan with a mouse? what a cute girl! and what a not so cute mouse. haha.
i feel so close to Naomi-san and Ryoko-san. both amazing people. wanted to thank Matsu, Saito-san, Kanae-san, Hikaru, Ryosuke, and Naoka for coming to Waseda today. good to see you all! We Are One!
and Inaida-san sent me this photo from Oohara in chiba today. small and crowded! i’m sure he misses hawaii already.
i sent out an email to my friend Scott in the philippines. for some reason, i had a feeling he was doing good things ever since the typhoon. and yes, he’s been volunteering his time and resources to help the areas that didn’t get any help. he sent me an update and the stories that bring back 3/11 like it was yesterday. gosh, so shocking!
