what another long day it was yesterday. 3 super fun rounds in the ocean playground. good waves, good surfing, good diving, and good friends!
Hashimoto-san got to surf such perfect waves in the morning again. we worked on improving his surfing in 2 days and if you seen how good he got, you wouldn’t believe it is the same guy. he rode every wave perfectly and had a dream surf session. watching him smile when he paddled back out after every single wave was rewarding. good job Hashimoto-san! keep on surfing and see you again!
then Tae-san made it through my 4 day boot camp. she had a perfect surf session yesterday too! taking off on her own, riding each wave till the end, and big smile on the way out. it was a hard 4 days of boot camp but well worth it. good job Tae-san! keep on looking up and keep on smiling!
then after 2 long rounds of surfing, i called up some friends and went for a dive. i really needed to get into the underwater world. it’s just been calling me for too long. needed some relaxation time, needed some exercise, needed to catch up with friends, and needed fish. we left the harbor at 4pm, sped down to my secret spot, and caught some prize fish!
this is a divers cooler full of gold! the big kumu’s are coming back and it’s time to get the steamer out!
thank you Kekoa, Kyle, and James for joining me for a 1 hour power dive session. i really needed it!
after work it was either go home and get my dive gear, or use what i had on my boat. since i didn’t want to stress in traffic, i just used what i had. freezing in my surf trunks and getting scratched up from going into the holes. ouch! these reef cuts are the most painful!
after diving up and down for an hour, it was getting dark and time to leave before the tiger sharks came out for their evening snack. i pull my head up to look for the boat and see the most amazing golden sunset. it couldn’t have been a better way to finish out a very amazing day.
then Eri and i went to crash a bbq party. i mean go to a party we weren’t even invited too. it was surfer style crashers and pretty funny! when we were leaving, the owner of the house yelled out to us “bye bye crashers.! haha.
