just read some diving news and came across this article of a scuba diver in the philippines who got dragged 300′ underwater by a huge tuna after he speared it. the fish took him 300′ down before he got free. he came up and is recovering. crazy story… if i were scuba diving, i would never even think of spearing one of these monster tunas. they have so much power and so many things can go wrong. free diving is just as dangerous but i guess there are less things to get tangled up on. anyway, i’m glad that diver is safe and i’m sure he will think again before he spears another one. for me? i won’t take me more than a second to decide whether to spear one or not. as soon as i get the chance, i’m pulling the trigger and going for the ride…
today i went out with some friends to ala moana to film some surfing. i had 2 cameras working and 4 surfers in the water. stay tuned for a fun video filmed in HD coming soon. just give me some time to edit it. but for now, here’s one of the many waves we got today….
