DOWN: Retailer Sears 3rd quarter loss reported at $218 million.
UP: Outlet ROSS STORES 3rd quarter profit of $105 million.
the bottom line is shoppers are looking for deals. they buy on sale, they don’t want to pay regular price for things anymore. simple solution? put things on sale, or drop prices forever!!!
by the way, if you didn’t know, there was a nice south swell today in town. we surfed bowls and the waves were really good. i checked diamond head after and it was so good and and not too many surfers out. a surprise swell? cool…. tomorrow too?
i had a great time with part of the barrels family today. the Komori newlyweds are such nice people and i was so happy to go surfing with them. it was yumi-chan’s first surf and i was amazed on how good she did. to catch your first wave, stand up, and ride it all the way is pretty amazing. good job! and shogo-san, i still can’t believe how fast you ate that hamburger… haha… please enjoy the rest of your trip in paradise….
