valentines day is special. and to get chocolate is more special. thank you Yuki-san for my favorite japanese rocky road chocolate!
i came home last night and seen a package of chocolate with a note. yes, i am the luckiest person in this world.
had a few drinks with some of my japanese surf friends earlier tonight. we were talking about life’s up’s and down’s. in my life, a lot of people came around me when i had my up’s. and a lot of people ran away from me when i was on my down’s. but it was those people that stuck by me when i was at the most miserable time of my life i will never forget. i was 18 years old and had no dreams. i was in a bad part of my life hanging out with the wrong friends. getting into trouble, drinking, partying, and just doing stupid things. no solid job, and no future to look forward too. it was that time when my sister and Tony picked me up. they encouraged me to surf contests, took me to the beach, bought me a new board, sponsored me clothing, and even paid for my first contests. that was the turning point of my life. or should i say, that’s what saved me life. so the talk we had tonight was how to stick by your loved ones when they are down. because of what my sister and Tony have done for me, i will never give up on anyone i love. i’ve been there before and i couldn’t have come to where i am today without their help and support. so my message to you all is “never give up on people you love.” everybody has their down times in life. help them get through it if you really care.
ok, i had a couple of jack/cokes and am just expressing my feelings. it’s also valentines day and in america, it’s a day to show and express your love. happy valentines day again to you all!
it’s cold, it’s raining, but it’s going to be ok! sweet dreams and see you tomorrow.
