they just came out with a list of the worst cars ever manufactured and this old school station wagon was on that list. for some people, this might look ugly and might have been a business failure. but for me, this is one of the coolest cars ever made. why? my Grandpa Osaki use to have one and pick up my brothers and sisters all the time and take us for a ride. we use to go to the north shore, all around town, eat shave ice, and we would always fight to see who would sit in the very far back seat. i remember we had so much great memories in Grandpa’s car. and when i see station wagons like this in photos or on the roads, i really miss my Grandpa.
remember that huge yacht sitting out in front of bowls for 2 days? well, this is just the staff. 28 crew members! that must be an awesome job going around the world and taking care of just 2 people.
**my blog has been acting strange recently. i thought i’d post things but actually didn’t. hopefully i will start remembering more and forgetting less. people tell me i’m getting old, but i really think that life is getting too complicated. i miss the days of no cell phones, no internet, and no cyber stalking.
“Brothers Isaiah & Seth Moniz meet up in the final” these were the headlines in the news for the entire surfing world. Seth and Isaiah made hawaii proud, especially me. the ASP Pipeline Pro Junior held at 4-8′ pipeline the other day came down to the final with Seth winning and Isaiah getting 2nd. people all over were talking about it, i was getting phone calls, i was receiving emails, texts, and that was the big news this past week in sports. i never had the chance to personally congratulate Seth and Isaiah but i know they know i’m their huge supporter and i’m super proud of them. now Seth has is first Pipeline title and there are many more to come. Isaiah is knocking on the door and now the competition is taking him more seriously. good job boys!
Seth, i knew you could do it! next is to beat Kelly Slater in the pipeline masters. so easy!

all we do is enjoy life and strive to get better surfing. Yuki-san is a perfect example of forward progression. so good!
and Inaida-san getting better each day. he’s fine tuned on the right board and will progress day by day. good wave selection and good riding. look how perfect the rights were these past days!
i was really happy to see Satoko surfing so well recently. good style and good personality is good surfing!
spring break starts today and so does my busy schedule again. i’ll be working everyday until i get a chance to break away and jump on a flight to japan. the flights are full and i’m on standby so anything can happen. i’m really looking forward to some good food, good friends, and good surfing. see you all soon!
