good morning. it’s like 10 days into the pipe masters and they only ran one day so far. the surf report isn’t looking promising for the remainder. i wonder what they will do? have it at ehukai? it happened before. it’s kind of a bummer. i was out at pipe yesterday and it looked like a ghost town. nobody around. well, all we can do is hope. but for now, the hope isn’t looking too good. what’s cool is that the south shore came up. yeah, the waves in town are bigger than the north shore. i was surfing diamond head and this guy told me that he drove around the whole island looking for waves and diamond head was the best. that’s great for me because diamond head is right down my street. i bet it’s going off today again. well, better get going…..
i was invited to the patagonia grand opening party last night by local motion maki-san. when she told me that craig sako was going to be the chef, i was there!!! free food, free beer, free wine, free everything….. there were so many old time friends that where there. the vibe was good, and everything was good. what an awesome party. took many photos so stay tuned….
hey guys, correct me if i’m wrong. this is reo inaba right? this little cute kid was surfing pipe yesterday so i took a few shots of him. after this wave, he came out and i said “hey, go surf more!” he looked at me and said “i want to but wade is waiting for me.” cute kid, and good surfer…. if wade tokoro is taking care of this kid, this kid is in good hands….
this is the next kid i’m going to interview for go-naminori. why? because i want to know more about him and i’m sure a lot of japan also wants to know more too….
