i jumped on the freeway this morning and was heading to the north shore. as i was driving, there were absolutely no cars!!! it was kind of weird. but i know why. christmas is a time to spend with family and friends. why work today right? so i turned around and took the day off. that was my merry christmas present to myself… thank you santa…

**last, i get a few emails asking me what i want for christmas. want to know the truth? i really don’t need or want any materialistic thing. i already have everything i need. a great present would be a HUGE BARREL! it’s been a while and i now that most every traveling pro left hawaii, now’s my chance. i seen some crazy video of mick fanning, kelly slater, and joel parkinson getting barreled during the pipe masters. i don’t want something like that, i want better. i’ll wait, wait, and wait till that 8′ A-Frame backdoor set comes. and when it does, i’m pulling in….. and if i make it, that will be my gift… come on santa, it’s not too late right?
