i was up on top of the mountain the other day soaking in the fresh air and cool breezes. it had to have been one of the most beautiful day here in hawaii. blue sky, blue ocean, and green mountain. just a perfect moment! refresh, relive, and reborn. i love it.
i was sitting up at diamond head checking out lighthouse and cliffs. both were good but the waves are totally different. this is lighthouse. much more experienced surfers out there as it is more powerful, more shallower, and stronger current. you won’t find too many longboards out here as it is more of a local spot.
cliffs always looks better from the top. that’s because you are looking at it straight on so you can see more of the shoulder. more people, and more easy to surf. that’s why you see a lot more longboarders out here. as for me, i prefer lighthouse with a shortboard. and cliffs would be a better choice for longboard. both excellent waves.
