good morning. worked pretty hard yesterday on making that video of the HIO. but after it was done, i felt good because i want to show the world the wonderful surfers of japan and hawaii. and wanted to show the aloha hawaii is spreading in welcoming surfers from all over the world! mensore hawaii!!!
this was one of many unridden waves yesterday at backdoor. i use to tell my japanese friends to come in march because it was nearly impossible to catch a good wave in december with the crowds. now, i tell them to come now. now is the time to get the wave of your life. nobody is here… and i’m not joking….
i don’t want to put the blame on innocent turtles for the heavy traffic on the north shore. but i do. it’s because of the thousands of people going to the north shore to see the turtles that’s making traffic horrific. this is what use to be a private beach where nobody would go. now, it’s a tourist trap. i won’t tell you where this is. i’m just waiting for the guys to set up table and start selling drinks and tshirts…. keep the country country….
shinpei horiguchi’s been surfing good. he got a good wave in his heat and ripped it! check out the spray!!! power surfing all the way. by the way, wanted to say thanks to guy hagi for using this photo of shinpei on last nights evening news. yeah shinpei, your famous in hawaii!!
