i was at McCully Bike yesterday looking at the prices of fishing lead. i was surprised how expensive it is. then this elder japanese fisherman came to buy some. we started talking fishing stories and i ended up giving him all the lead i had in my car i found free diving. after he left, i was bummed because i forgot to ask for his phone number. i have tons of lead i found in the ocean at my house that i want to give away. and that kind man was the one….. i hope to see him again….
the secret is out!! i ate at Cafe Kaila before and it’s the best pancake/waffle cafe in hawaii. i went when it just opened and now? it’s crazy packed!!! 2 hour wait? i saw 20 people waiting outside and no japanese tourist. once japan finds out, this place will get 10 x more crowded and more expensive. it happens all the time… i guess i have to find another breakfast place…
shin-san and midori-san brought me the coolest gift from japan. a customized bottle of rare sake in an awesome wooden box…
it even has my name written in japanese on it!!! i’m so happy!!! thank you shin-san and midori-san. kanpai!!!
