it’s been so long since i went out with the boys. it was friday night so right after i finished work, we went down to Rum Fire in the sheraton waikiki hotel. pretty cool place!
sipping on beers, eating good food, and watching the sunset. yeah, a bunch of us boys getting romantic? i don’t think so. haha. but it was pretty beautiful down there in waikiki.

then it started to get darker and the evening crowd started turning into the night crowd. the lights went dim, the music turned up, the dancing started, and it turned into a full on club. omg, i didn’t even know what to expect.
i went outside to use the toilet and almost never got back in. the line to get in was crazy! locals mixed up with tourist all there to have a fantastic hawaiian night.
i was down there from 6:30 to midnight just having fun with my boys. Carter, John Hall, Bobby, David, and John Shimooka. i haven’t seen these guys in a while so it was very nice to catch up on things. if i added up all the years i knew each of these guys, i’d be nearing 170 years. all those precious years of friendship!
as midnight came, the all the beers and jack shots started to make me feel good. it was time to run away and go home. and the thing that stuck out last night was the Rum Fire menu. they have a “Happy Ending” special:
*two truffle burgers.
*one bottle of nicolas feuillatte rose.
*hotel room.
hotel room??? omg! all for $550. i could imagine how many tourists take advantage of this special. haha.
but wanted to thank my boys for a wonderful time. we talked about doing this more often and i’m in! hope to see you guys again soon.
