good evening. another long day. after hearing the bad wind report on last nights forecast, i told everybody that today was a GO-DIVE day. the winds and waves were supposed to be junk for today and diving was supposed to be epic. i wake up at 5am, get my boat ready, look at the stars, and there was no wind. umm…. i better check the waves just in case. so i check the everything out and come to find out, the weather man made a mistake. today was epic conditions for the north shore.
so i call hayato, “hey, got some bad news.” he says “what?” “shit, the waves are good, can’t dive.” we were both bummed out all day. yeah, the waves were good and i got some good ones, but both of our minds were focused on going underwater. on the drive home, we both said “shit, we should have gone diving.”
even though surfing is my job, and my #1 priority, diving is not too far behind. i need it in my life to refresh my mind that is going pretty crazy recently. i want to get away from my computer, phone, and just want to go underwater. tomorrow? the surf forecast is calling for bad wind and waves again. but tomorrow is different. i’m going diving no matter what!!! i think hayato feels the same way…

go-naminori web designer naoka sits in front of his computer 20 hours a day in japan. when he’s in hawaii, my goal is to get him off his computer 20 hours a day. surf, dive, relax, have fun in hawaii is important. why? because when he goes back to japan, his mind will be fresh, and ready for the big things that are going to happen to GO-NAMINORI!!!
we’re currently working on a Ocean’s Best Friends in Hawaii article. we’ve been shooting around the island visiting places we think japanese tourists should check out. this is definitely one of the stops. Romy’s Kahuku Shrimp. kazubo-san, kazuma, naoka, and hayato digging in….
