and it’s good to see japanese groms flying all the way from japan to surf their dreams in hawaii. ryota impressed me this year with his confidence level. he’s catching more waves, he’s hitting the lip harder, he’s flying in the air, and he’s getting barreled left and right. this kid is a super competitor and i wouldn’t want to be in his heat…..
