i spent some time yesterday tuning up my underwater camera gear. i have to be ready for anything whether it’s barrels, sharks, whales, or babies surfing. got some cool projects coming up…
after a long morning session yesterday, i was super hungry so i was on the phone calling zippy’s to order a take out bento. then my friend brandon calls me and asks me if i want to come to his house to eat corn beef and cabbage. i hung up on zippy’s and went straight to his house. i’m lucky to have such great friends…
then after surfing bowls, there were 2 japanese surfers on the beach with a problem. one of them had sooooo much uni or sea urchin needles in his foot. brandon yells to me, “hey kirby, get the vinegar!” i yell back “i no more, kimura-san used it all!” so as the 2 japanese surfers were trying to limp on one foot and walk home, brandon yells to me, “hey, tell them to jump in my truck and i’ll take them home.” the surfer with the uni in his foot jumped in and brandon drove him home. true aloha!!!
