teaching kids how to surf is probably the most rewarding thing i do. to see their facial expression is priceless. i don’t remember too many things about my childhood but i will never forget my first wave. what that wave the reason why i live the life i do? was that wave the turning point? i can sit down and think over and over how that experience impacted my life but what hits me the most is how that wave introduced me to the ocean and its beauty. something i didn’t appreciate when i was 6 years old, but something i appreciate now. for the many kids i take surfing, all i’m hoping for is for that one experience where they can connect with the ocean. then the rest is in their hands. the ocean is and will always be there for them and there is no time limit for them to understand that. surf your dream right? right!!!
the youngest kid i took surfing with me was 2 years old. this is the second youngest. maxim is 3 years old and loves the ocean. when he gets older, he can look back and get a good laugh from this video. i crack up laughing every time i see it. GO-MAXIM!
