surfed with Masao-san and Mio-san yesterday morning. we had such a great time. i was laughing and laughing all morning long. Masao-san surfs really good and it was Mio-san’s first time surfing. had a rough start but everything worked out fine. just kept riding and riding all morning long.
then we went to eat some Pho and i did my tour of the best restaurants to eat starting from King Street and ending on Waialae Avenue. all my secrets are out! haha.
thank you Masao-san and Mio-san for the treats!!! i love it!
after our morning session, i picked up the 3 young girls and did a shortboard surfing lesson. these 3 girls started off longboarding so it was fun giving them a shortboard and just saying “Go!” they had a blast!
when you learn from the basic 1, 2, 3’s on the longboard, shortboarding is pretty easy. these girls got better and better after every wave.
i don’t think these girls will ever longboard again. haha. one’s hook on surfing Kelia’s old surfboard and said she will never give it back to me. haha. but it’s ok!
this surfing world is very small. a really nice couple from hokkaido were out yesterday and i had no idea it was them i was going to take surfing today. i can’t wait!
after i came in yesterday evening, i looked back at the ocean and said to myself “thank you for giving us this wonderful beautiful day in paradise.”
took shower, took photos, came home, went over some video with the girls, taught them how to improve on their surfing, and we are all looking forward to another surf session in hawaii.
i love my job and even though i say it to myself every single day, i will say it twice today. i love my job!
