good evening. been getting lots of emails from surfers in japan about going back in the water. most normal people in the world think we’re crazy to even think about going back in the ocean, especially in japan. but i’m a surfer so i can feel the pain. the pain of uncertainty, the pain of losing your surf spot you’ve grown to love, and the pain of not being able to surf again. it’s hard to explain and understand unless your a surfer, but i hope people in the world don’t judge surfers in the wrong way because we need the ocean to revive, refresh, and we need the ocean to live. sometimes i think what would happen if we couldn’t surf in hawaii anymore? i stop right there because it’s too sad to even think of. so for all you surfers in japan, i’m with you, i support you what ever you decide to do, and one day, we will all surf together again. hope, pray, and keep on surfing!!!
wanted to congratulate tomoko-san and everybody else that participated in the maui swap meet for pray for japan! you guys did a great job in raising lots of money and smiles for the people of japan.
i’m sure everybody in the world appreciates your efforts. especially japan. it’s a great way to show your aloha for japan!
