the coldest early december day in 5 years is what the news is saying. welcome to snow country.
it was so weird that i was right next to Mt. Fuji when Toda-san send me this photo. he and i were looking at the exact same mountain. what a beautiful photo! and can’t believe hakone was minus 3 degrees when i was there. no wonder it was freezing, and no wonder the onsen felt so dam good!
if you were smart and invested in dollars when the yen was 75 yen/dollar 3 years ago, you will be a rich man today. congratulations!
super typhoon is hitting the philippines now. i hope everybody is ok. it’s crazy how this late and rare typhoon just popped up out of nowhere.
after this typhoon passes over the philippines, it’s going to send some south swell up to taiwan.
check out the swell that showed up yesterday. Keith sent me this photo and hopefully we will be able to share some awesome waves in the upcoming days. waking up at 4:30am, getting a taxi, catching a train, jumping on an airplane, then jumping on another airplane, then renting a car and driving 2 hours. a long ways to our destination but i’m looking forward to it. see you in taiwan!
