good morning, i stayed up late last night trying to read all the emails coming in from all over the world. first, thank you very much. second, sorry if i cannot reply because i want to focus these last days on what we have to do to accomplish what we want to. a few people wrote me and said that it’s not a good time to go, or come to japan. they said it’s too dangerous and too unpredictable. some people wrote that they have enough food and supplies, and some said that there isn’t enough. and one even wrote that i would be in the way. i was kind of lost and actually thinking about canceling my trip. but… then came an email about how some little cities are still unaccessible? still 17,000 missing?. still dead bodies in the rubble? and after talking to a local friend in sendai about the world forgetting about what’s happening in japan, i decided that i have to go. i always believed that that if the majority of the people support what i’m doing, i’m doing it. pretty simple yeah? see you in japan…
hey ayu-chan, thank you for the kind email. i’m glad you enjoyed hawaii in the beginning of march. had fun surfing with you and the girls out at kaisers. hope to see you in hawaii again…
and when did you take this photo? i was probably thinking “hey eri-chan, why don’t you look at me when i’m talking to you?” and eri-chan was probably thinking, “hey kirby, your too loud and talk to fast. ahhh…!!” haha.. actually, we were meeting about making a lot of people happy. stay tuned…
and yes ayu-chan, greg ashimine is my friend from 3rd grade which makes us longtime classmates. we hung out and surfed all those years…. what a small world….
