good morning. after experiencing the things this past week, i’m
totally at ease with my life. from swimming with hungry sharks in
palau 3 weeks ago, to dodging earthquakes in japan this week, i don’t
know which one is worst. i just know that in each situation, you have
to be calm. the first earthquake in japan on march 11th lasted for
over 4 minutes. the other night, the earthquake wasn’t long, but many
say it was stronger. and last night, it was only a minute and not
scary at all. even at 7M, what can you do? run? hide? scream? no,
no, no. as soon as the earthquake hit, i turned on my phone and took
video. it’s becoming to be a habit.
well, they extended the danger zone to a radius of 30 kilometers.
minami soma is now ordered to evacuate. that’s hard to swallow when i
was just there a few days ago. even though it was a ghost town, there
are many people hiding in their houses, and i know they aren’t going
to leave.
in japan, the cellular phone systems are programed to ring when there
is an earthquake coming. acco and naohiro’s phones were beeping loud
a few seconds before the earthquake hit last night. mine? nothing.
no alert, no nothing. i still don’t understand why? is it because
i’m a foreigner?
well, going to sleep now, then should be back to tokyo tomorrow.
going to regroup my thoughts, and figure out a plan for stage 2 of “WE
ARE ONE” mission in tohoku. hopefully i can be back up here in a few
days. i’m looking for volunteers again and this time and i want to be
honest with you. if your prepared to risk your life, come. if not,
don’t come. earthquakes, tsumami’s, and radiation don’t scare me
anymore. what scares me is the people that are willing to stay in
these so called radiation danger zones and risk their lives. there
are innocent kids everywhere we go. and the damage is to such an
extent that makes me wonder if japan will ever be the same. and for
the billions of dollars being raised for japan from these so called
non-profit organizations, i have one question??? where the heck are
you guys??? i don’t understand why some cities look the same as it
did one month ago. why is that?????
here is the video i took yesterday of just one of the many flattened
cities of japan. watching it breaks my heart…
