good evening. first i want to start off on this photo. this is our
WE ARE ONE MISSION 2 crew. last night it was -2 degrees below zero,
we were at the end of the road where there is nothing but destroyed
towns. most of the people that died or are missing are from this part
of ishinomaki. we look for flat ground, set up the tent, make a fire
to keep us warm, and reflect on the day.

a few sleep in the tent where if you talk, fog blows out of your
mouth. a few sleep in the car because you would think it is warmer.
i tried to sleep in the car and ended up freezing my ass off!! why?
because somebody forgot to roll up the windows before we slept. OH MY
GOSH!!! besides the freezing cold, besides the loud snoring, and
besides the earthquake that hit in the middle of the night, i guess it
could be worst….
shinsuke matsukawa is my long time friend of 19 years. he’s a
photographer on this trip that’s taking all these wonderful photos. i
know how hard work it is to be a photographer so i appreciate every
snap he takes, especially this one. if you look good, you can even
see the stars….
tomorrow early morning we’re heading back to minami soma. i called my
friend just now, who happens to be the mayor of that city, yes, Mr.
Sakurai-san, and set up a meeting. a meeting where i want to
personally say “I’LL BE BACK!”
