thank you Kaori-san for sending me my selfie. i don’t even remember you taking that photo. was that before or after my coffee? haha.
and thanks Kyle for this cool shot off the bowls surfline camera. busted!
had an awesome early sunrise morning surf with Fukushima-san. last night i was worried because the winds supposed to be ugly west winds this morning. thankfully the storm moved over the island faster than expected so the waves were perfect with no wind. only a few guys out and we scored some good long rights. Fukushima-san’s been surfing for 5 years and really wanted to do a cutback today. not only did he do lots of perfect cutbacks, he did a super nice off the lip too! another stoked day with another stoked surfer. i hope you had a great first trip in hawaii Fukushima-san! great surfing and great early morning sunrise! enjoy the rest of your trip in paradise!
i had a meeting with my accountant all afternoon. gosh, every year i go to her office, i end up gazing out of the window watching the waves at bowls. half of my attention listening to important tax information, and the other half dreaming about surfing. my accountant is the best in hawaii. super smart, super successful, and super kind. she knows a lot of the inside scoops on this island, and in this world. from real estate, to stocks, to taxes, to bonds, to insurance, and to investments, she knows it all. i could sit in her office for hours listening and learning.
my accountant gave me some insiders scoops. see the left side of ala moana shopping center? well, she told me they are planning to build a 40 story high condo in the near future. not too many people know about it yet, but if you look at the parking lot ala moana shopping center just redid, you will figure it out too. the right side is nice and new. the left side is old and ugly because it’s going to get knocked down soon anyway. make sense? anyway, i learned that having a great accountant is the key to success. expert advise, lots of knowledge, and well respected. the only kind of professionals i want to work with.
