ever had truffle? well, i just had it for the first time about 3 years ago. didn’t like the taste and smell when i first tried it, but now i love it. i was lucky enough to eat the worlds best truffle this past winter and i can’t wait for next season.

truffle is actually a fungus. a kilo once sold for $330,000. that is 39,867,015.95 yen. omg! i’m curious how much this piece i ate cost? maybe better not to know.

and ever since i started eating good food, i started to drink good wine. my first glass of fine wine 4 years ago tasted like spoiled sour grapes. it took me a while to adapt to the taste. now, i’m in love with wine! and when i love something, i want to know more about it. so i went to napa valley to learn how the wonderful wine i drink is actually made.

took a tour of a winery, experienced the wine tasting, and now i have a better knowledge of what i’m drinking.

can’t wait for my next glass as it’s been a while.
by the way, today is officially the first day of spring. winter is over in hawaii and spring is here! expect breezy tradewinds and surf on all shores for the next month. the best time of year i love most!
