good morning. so far, so good. got back home a few days ago, been surfing, working, and been trying to take my mind off things for a while. yoga has taught me how to clear my mind and it’s been working for me pretty good. great for diving, and great for trying to forget the haunting images i seen in tohoku. i don’t want to forget what i saw, but i want to clear my mind for this week before i head back up there. everybody’s been asking me “how was it?” all i can say is “it’s far from over.” we just got news that the minami soma firefighters are looking for volunteers to help search for dead bodies. after 2 months? that’s sad. we’re going back up there and if we have time, i’d like to help search for the missing. i know that there are hundreds of families that are still waiting for their loved ones to be found.
as for now, i’m going to spend as much time in the water as possible. it’s my way of refreshing, and rethinking of what to do next. oh, i want to thank all the people that have sent me emails about volunteering their time to go on our missions. for mission 3, we are keeping it small (one car) and hopefully can cover a lot of area to find out what still needs to be done. in the summer, i’d like to do a mission with 20-30 people to help clear up the mess. will keep you posted.
well, got lots to do today. first, going to jump in the water to get a few waves. hope you have a nice day!
**check out this video. papua new guinea is somewhere i always wanted to go to. i heard it’s dangerous and a lot of people get food poisoning there. that’s why i want to go. the culture is amazing and i still have lots to learn. hope i can go there someday soon….
