gosh, i was driving down to the beach at 6:30am and it was already 28C or 82F. i knew it was going to be a freaking hot day!
loaded up the boat with diving gear, surfing gear, fishing gear, and friends.
on the way out, dropped the fishing poles in the water and bam! these are the kind of days you know it’s going to be good. Yuko-chan with the catch and release papio.
then did some diving. so cool watching Reid getting better and better. going deeper, holding his breath longer, and catching bigger and better fish.
then it was blue water dive time outside in the deep blue. cut up some of the fish we caught to try to lure a bigger one in. nothing but a big turtle came. but it felt so good diving deep into the blue.
Ren is always open to new things. so we pull up to a sunken shipwreck that is 100′ down. it’s his first time doing something like this so i was surprised to see him cruising 40′ deep no problem. with proper training and better fins, i think he can touch the shipwreck easily.
today was so hot. good thing the ocean can cool us down.
Ta’ape are not only good eating, we have to get these invasive fish out of our waters. so catching a lot of them is essential. we caught 80 today. good job guys!
and a little mixed bag of other fish to complete the perfect day.
i tested out my new gun today! OMG, it sucks! i took my first 2 shots and completely missed the fish! then i got out my old faithful gun, took 2 shots, and shot 2 uhu’s in the head. i was bummed that my new toy was a failure, but happy that i have old faithful that never lets me down. i will never ever buy another speargun in my life. what a waste of time and money.
