hit and run robbery today involving a japanese tourist!!! OMG! shocking!
two guys in a car drove by Kuualoa Ranch today and seen a japanese tourist walking along the road. they drove by and one of the guys reached out and grabbed the girls purse. it was connected to her arm so the ended up dragging the girl along the road, almost killing her.
the police caught the two guys shortly after but the damage has been done. they were charged with attempted murder but the poor japanese girl will be traumatized for life. so sad. remember that nowhere in this world is safe anymore, not even here in paradise.
coral bleaching killing our reefs! since the water temperature is way higher than normal, it’s actually killing our reefs. bleaching reefs all over. the other day i went diving, i could see bleached reef everywhere. omg!
traveling around the world to third world countries taught me so much. rain water is so precious to them. to us in hawaii, it’s just water going down the drain to running out to the ocean. so recently, i’ve been thinking about conserving water. i set up a big bin under the roof where the water drains. so every rain will fill up this big bin and i can use it to water my plants. this is actually saving me a lot of precious water from the pipe.
and my plants seem to love the rain water. gardenia, basil, avocado, and rosemary. nature on nature.
remember my avocado tree died? but before that, it dropped an avocado and a few months later, it turned into a plant? well, it actually dropped 2 avocados right before it died and i replanted both of them. i was only expecting one to survive but both did. so i’ll have 2 strong avocado trees providing fruit forever. and see that gardenia bud on the right? i looked at it before i went out to dinner.
then when i came home, it was in full bloom and smelling so sweet! i love it!
