i went up to my friend Brandon’s house to give him a kumu. then he came out with 2 bags full of tako poke. it was the best tako poke i’ve ever eaten in my life!
then went to my sister house for our yearly new years dinner. shrimp? omg, i’m allergic to shrimp! but hey, high risk high return. i ate 4 of them and my stomach wasn’t feeling too good after.
setting the mood. my sister came home and told us the story about Isaiah Moniz saving a life just a few hours earlier. it will probably never make the news because the other guy wasn’t a big name. but in my eyes, my nephew is a hero. Isaiah would put his life for anyone before his own. he came home during our
dinner and walked in like it was any other normal day. he didn’t even mention anything about it. i’m proud of this kid and he will probably save many more lives in the future.
japanese/local style kind of new years. it’s all about family and appreciating each others health. very important day.
found this photo in my grandpas photo album. Tammy, Tony, Micah, and Kelia Moniz back in 1992. many more kids to follow after this photo was taken.
and found a photo of Micah and i riding dirt bike up on the north shore. these were the good old days.
12/31/15 cooler box catch fresh from the ocean.
want to congratulate Yuko-chan for catching the biggest fish that day. a nice size barracuda! some call it luck, i call it patience. if you can be patient, you will catch fish eventually. if you can’t be patient, you will go buy fish from the store eventually. haha.
