woke up to hear the news about 2 of these military helicopters crashing outside haleiwa. 12 crew missing. omg.
the high surf warning made it difficult to locate any possible survivors. they are still searching and no good news as of yet.
the biggest north swell of the season. 40′ faces. i’m just hoping they find survivors.
haleiwa beach will be closed for a few days more. please stay away and let the searchers do their job. especially surfers, please respect the missing and the people risking their lives looking for the missing. don’t be a fool and surf there. you will make all us surfers look bad.
i headed out today to look for something new to surf. my friends wanted to surf somewhere with nobody out so that was pretty easy to do. and guess what? we found it! perfect waves, perfect conditions, and perfect rides. everybody happy.
