had a great time surfing with Asayama-san yesterday. he caught some huge waves, even bigger than the day before. such a bummer my gopro broke. yeah, another one broken and just wouldn’t turn on in the morning. i was super bummed. but got it back working after lunch luckily. can’t depend on it, but will still use it until i have enough time to buy another one. here we are getting ready for a healthy lunch made by a top chef in hawaii.
the steamed fish chinese style is the best! only prepared once a month so didn’t want to miss this day.
had a great surf, then lunch, then a shave ice, then a long talk. time just flew by.
went in my truck to take apart the gopro. put it back together and it turned right on. omg! got some photos of the afternoon session with Nishida-san and Akari-san. it was a beautiful day!
Nishida-san’s only been surfing for 2 years!!! omg! he is so good already! check out this perfect takeoff!
and it was Akari-san’s first time in hawaii and first time ever surfing. she did great!
on the paddle back out, a smile says a thousand words. total happiness. i love this photo.
Nishida-san caught so many good waves. the waves were shoulder high and perfect.
Akari-san in the crystal clear water. gosh, i can’t wait to go diving!
keep on surfing and hope you enjoy the rest of your trip here in hawaii!
been watching 3 sisters come out recently. all getting better and better by the session. one of the sisters stayed in the inside because the waves were too big. it was so cute because that’s where we all started. i bet you that in 6 months, this 15 year girl will be catching the big sets hanging five!
