had a great time yesterday afternoon with Notoya-san and Saki-san. surfers from hokkaido enjoying the warm surf and sun here in hawaii. both want to become better surfers so i broke down their surfing and we made some minor adjustments. worked out perfectly! awesome ride Notoya-san!
Saki-san asked me on the beach why it’s easy for her to turn left and not right? i already knew the answer. her front foot is placed too much on the left side of the board, making it easier to turn left. so we fixed that and now that her foot is placed right in the middle, she can turn either way effortlessly. this is perfect Saki-san!
the waves came up and was pretty hard to surf. but Notoya-san kept going and going. he must have gone under 100 waves on the long paddles back out.
Saki-san was stoked to ride the wave for so long and not falling off. and now that she made some minor adjustments, i can see this girl getting super good really fast.
thank you guys for a wonderful afternoon surf. i’m glad you had a great time! please remember what you learned and remind each other what to do. see you again in beautiful hawaii!
i was on the beach at bowls the other day and seen something floating in the shore break. omg! it was an iPod!!! somebody must have forgotten his iPod and the high tide got it all wet. i brought it home, cleaned it up, tried to turn it on but it wouldn’t. so i left it under a light to dry for a while and all of a sudden, the lights came on!!! Omg, apple magic!
so i’m trying to find if i can get some info on who’s iPod this could be.
then the name appeared: “KAMA’s iPod” perfect! so if anyone knows who Kama is, i would like to give him back his iPod. and i still can’t believe it is still working after being in the shore break like that. amazing!
