spent the day circling around the east side just enjoying this beautiful sunday. the weather couldn’t have been any better. i could see molokai so clearly. felt like paddling over!
went to the most dangerous cliff dive spot. use to go here a lot in high school. i think one or two people die here each year. sometimes more.
watching some adults jumping off, which was fine. then i seen a father yelling at his 9 year old son “jump, hurry and jump, you better jump! if you don’t, i won’t take you anywhere today!!!” the poor kid was standing at the edge almost crying. i wanted to tell the father “you jump!!!!!” it’s pretty freaking high and super dangerous. one mistake and you are totally dead. the kid didn’t jump it after all and the dad and mom were pissed at him. so sad.
i had 2 young teenager girls with me. one of them wanted to jump it and i said “no way! you will never jump this if i’m here. it’s way too dangerous.” so the girls snorkeled instead. and one came back with a face like she just seen a ghost. that ghost was a 10′ tiger shark.
today was as calm as it gets. the perfect day to jump off this cliff. it looked almost too easy.
took the girls to a lower cliff to practice jumping off. once they graduate from here, maybe they can try the big one.
snorkeled around for 10 minutes and seen so many fish! i didn’t have my speargun so no dinner for me. but i got some nice shells for my collection. score!
