i just finished work yesterday at 5pm and checked my messages. it was my sisters birthday so she asked me to come over for a small get together. she said it was last minute and only a couple people. and also was going to be at a friends house so she gave me the address. so i pick up some food and head over.
i get to the address and walk into the house. OMG! are you kidding! you can’t call this a house! this is a palace!
started off with a couple of people. then a couple more, then a couple more, then more and more. i didn’t know a house like this right on the beach even exists on hawaii!
just hanging out and chatting with the boys. talking about surfing, diving, sharks, molokai, and other things.
Tony always cooking the food to perfection!
and the girls inside preparing the rest.
omg, these were so good!
typical hawaiian local style bbq. i wish everybody can experience this.
i taught the kids how to make my secret kumu platter.
then the adults had a taste of it and couldn’t stop.
then the kids came and finished it up. i hope they remember how to make it so this awesome recipe can continue for generations to come.
so stoked to hang out with my long time buddy Chico Gonda. we had some awesome memories from intermediate school till now. a really cool brother.
i still can’t believe how nice the house was. i would love to rent it someday and have a huge go-naminori party. umm, sounds like a good idea yeah?
want to say Happy Birthday to my lovely sister Tammy. and want to welcome back Micah from bali, and want to welcome back Isaiah from molokai. bummer Kelia is in california, and Josh and Seth are in south africa. anyway, the more i spend these precious moments with my family, the more i appreciate my life.
