here is less than 24 hours of a day in my life. or should i say, my crazy life.
from taiwan, got into osaka late so decided to grab a room and relax. jumped on the airport bus heading to namba.
so stoked to walk into my luxury apartment room i rented. can’t go wrong for $60.
by the time i went to sleep, it was past 1am. then i get up at 7am, book a flight out of kansai at 7:50pm.
i had the free day so i took the 1 hour train ride to wakayama. Kimura-san picked me up from the station and took me to lunch. Kimura-san is my Wagamama Guide. opps, i mean Wakayama Guide. haha.
omg, this katsudonburi was amazing! the best one i’ve ever had.
then Kimura-san took me shopping, and also took me to his local meat market. there isn’t even a sign?
once you walk in, you will see Meat Shop Ueno. so old school! i love it.
when you order the meat, they cut it for you right there. that’s why it’s so fresh!
Astuko-san makes the best sukiyaki ever! and now i know where she gets her special meat from. omg, i wish we had this kind of quality meat in hawaii.
2pm i check my flight out of kansai. OMG, it filled up! now i have to try to fly out of nagoya! so i grab the first of three trains to nagoya. that took me 3 long hours.
totally full train so i had to sit in-between on my suitcase. and enjoyed an afternoon snack.
stopped in the city to eat some sushi. looks good yeah?
actually, it wasn’t that good at all. in fact, it was terrible. a wasted $16 as i would have been happier eating something else.
lucky me got upgraded to business class. got on the flight, reclined my seat, and slept the whole way.
it was a wonderful trip, but i’m glad to be home. this was less than a day my life on the road. and i spent the last 10 days like this. i have many more photos to upload so check back. as for now, i’m going to the ocean! have a wonderful day!
thank you Kimura-san for being the best Wagamama Guide. haha!
