wow, hope you didn’t miss the big VW event yesterday at ala moana. i felt like a baby in a toy store. i wanted everything! haha. a showcase of the best VW’s in hawaii. here is the bus division.
and the bug division. i never see these cars on the street. most of these are probably in the owners garage. what an incredible collection.
my dream is still to have a garage bigger than my house. i just need a little bed to sleep in, and a big garage to keep all my toys in. that’s my dream.

i was looking at this carefully because the next thing for our dune buggy is turbo! more speed, and more power!
Tanaka-san came to hawaii for the first time, and surfed for the first time. coming all the way from hokkaido! we had such a great time in the afternoon surf.
this was her first wave ever! look at that smile! i just love watching the facial expressions from riding a wave.
Tanaka-san was very energetic! she kept on catching wave after wave. it was awesome!
then we went to cool down with some waiola shave ice. thank you Tanaka-san for the wonderful afternoon.
checked diamond head in the evening. still fun waves but nothing like the other day. now that the typhoon is gone, so will be the waves and epic glassy conditions. welcome back trade winds!
