i was down at the yacht club early in the morning doing maintenance on Mayuki. i fixed things, and i also polished things. she looked like a beauty! then as i was finishing up, a man came up to me and said “excuse me sir, i notice you are here very often taking care of this beautiful boat. it’s always so clean. anyway, i own that 42′ yacht on the other side of the dock and i’m looking for someone to keep her clean like this. would you be interested in a job? i’m willing to pay you what ever you want.” i took me 2 seconds to think about it and reply. “sorry sir, i’m too busy enjoying my life. Mayuki is a treasure to me and i enjoy taking care of her. i won’t put another boat above her. but thank you for offering me a job. i really appreciate it.”
then when i was driving home, i thought to myself “i wonder how much money it would have taken for me to take the job from that guy? then i thought again, no, i live a well balanced life now so why change it?” then i totally forgot about it. and i’ll never look back!

felt like i needed to get into the ocean today so i went for a snorkel. felt so good!
