today was a very long day. diving 2 long rounds takes so much energy out of your body. it’s the first time i did something like this and i think i lost 10lbs. today.
you can lose weight free diving, but you can gain it right back when you catch such big meals! this is what you called a very good catch.
i found out what makes Asayama-san relax while surfing. once he started free diving and spearfishing, he’s become 5x more relaxed on a surfboard. i watched him go up and down about a hundred times. each time, i’m laughing so loud through my snorkel watching his determination. haha.
i still can’t believe Asayama-san is spearing fish at 67 years of age. he use to live a normal life until he met me last year. haha. what’s next for us? we have no limits!
this is team work. my team working hard this morning. nothing will go to waste.
Abe-san is in town and we passed by his convoy today. i wish i could have seen him because i really want to shake his hand for coming to hawaii.
while Asayama-san went back to his hotel to take a nice nap, i went to pick up the boys for an afternoon dive session. Hideki-san and Takahiro-san ready to take on the wild conditions.
after 2 back to back rounds of diving, i went straight to my sisters house for our annual family christmas party. nobody on this island was more hungry than i was. so happy to see the hawaiian food cooking on the stove.
my sister prepared lamb. omg, it was so good! very tender, and very simple.
i can’t believe how easy it was to make this. i’ll be cooking this at home at least once a month from now on. i loved it.
my mom’s lomilomi salmon is the best.
and when it’s time to eat, it’s time to eat. i was so hungry! now, i’m so full!
good to catch up with the Moniz nephews and niece. i don’t have social media so have no idea what’s going on in this world. then i seen Seth’s 12′ set wave yesterday at pipeline and couldn’t believe it! he got the barrel of his life!
and so happy to catch up with Mateus. this boy is getting cuter and cuter.
and the best part of tonight was the opihi! omg, all i need is opihi and poi and i’ll be happy forever.
time to sleep and get ready for tomorrow’s sunrise surf. can’t wait! good night.
