i was watching the news last night when i found out somebody was found underwater at pipeline. come to find out, it was experienced pipe pro surfer Kalani Chapman. he wiped out and knocked out unconscious. Seth Moniz and Nathan Florance pulled him up from underwater. the put him on the jet ski and he was lifeless. when Kalani got to the beach, the lifeguards had to do CPR. luckily, he was brought back to life!!!! omg, it was crazy to watch. Kalani is a very lucky man to be alive. another example of surfers saving surfers. i’m sure Seth is a little traumatized, but he did exactly what he was supposed to do. i’m proud of you boy.
boarded Mayuki to surf a secret spot this morning. once again, nobody out and perfect waves. we scored again!
then ate a ramen from Agu. it was my first time there so i was super excited. the only bummer thing is it cost $14! omg, i thought i was in new york! now i’m missing japan even more. missing those delicious $7 ramen.
all surfers on the whole island are so happy! waves and epic conditions everywhere! i went to check out diamond head this evening and there was no parking! more waves tomorrow with perfect conditions. everybody please surf safe!
