can you believe 10,021 locals left hawaii last year? yeah, the cost of living and the shortage of jobs are forcing so many people out of hawaii. every year the number is growing. and this does not include the surge in homeless families living on the streets. sad.
all day the traffic was crazy! it took me forever to go out and come home. the freeway was totally shut down due to a water main break and it won’t be fixed till monday? omg!
if you were stuck in this traffic, you knew you weren’t moving. thank goodness there are lots of back roads coming and going from my house. traffic too, but moving traffic.
had a TV shoot today at the beach and the crew called me earlier and asked “is it really ok today? there are things flying all over in the streets from the wind. and it’s storming too. should we cancel?” i said “no, don’t worry. it will be ok. see you there.”
even though it’s windy and raining, there will be windows of light wind and sun. all you have to do is be ready and time it right. we all waited in the car, then when i saw the window, i said “come on, lets do it!” and guess what? the sun came out and the winds stopped. the waves were absolutely perfect for that little window!
it was cool working with Tina today. super cool and beautiful local surfer girl from the north shore. should be coming out on TV soon.
want to thank Nanami-san for taking these amazing photos of Seth Moniz at pipeline.

going to saporro this week. does anybody know a good crab restaurant in the city? all i want to do is sit down, sip on sake, and eat crab after crab. i can’t wait!
