Maki-san sent me this photo from sandy’s yesterday. gosh, the waves were so good! i bet it’s good again today!
when i was at sandy’s, this tourist parked next to me. he came out of his car and asked me “hey, are you from here?” i told him “yes, why?” he said “why are local people so rude?” i told him “what do you mean?” he said “so many locals were rude to me today. is it because there are too many tourist here?” i told him “no, probably just met the wrong locals.” i actually felt sorry for him.
i finally learned how to freeze fish the right way! i tried a new technique and it worked so good! so i defrost this kumu i caught a month ago and it still looks pretty dam fresh! so stoked!
i overdo the cilantro because i love it. this is the best fish you will ever eat in hawaii. a dish like this at a chinese restaurant will cost $60. free for me! stoked!
