yesterday was a very long, but very happy day. started off early in the morning. went to help load up for the big wedding.
these are the times trucks come in handy. you can fit anything in them.
can you believe it’s still this cold in hawaii? 18 degrees? are you kidding? anyway, picked up the boys and headed to the north shore.
stopped by the bakery to pick up some goodies. then on the way to pipe, we find out the pipe contest is on! luckily Seth’s heat was at 1pm. wedding starts at 2:30 so perfect.
went to watch Seth take care of business. he surfed absolutely flawless. two top scores being barrels as he won his heat easily. after the heat, he got a live interview. talked a little and said “hey, i got to get to my sisters wedding!”
showered up and started to get ready. and omg, look at this kids body? it’s getting solid as a rock!!!
in the meanwhile, i was playing with Mateus at the billabong house.
he saw a bike in the yard so he said “unko, bike!” he ran to it and started riding it.
he was having so much fun!
then i told him “hey, we have to start getting ready for the wedding.” he looked at me and said “no.” and gave me a big smile. so i said “ok, you can ride a little more.” i’m so weak when it comes to kids. how can you say no to a smile like this?
then he jumped on the surfboard and i said “ok, that’s enough.”
i got ready, Mateus got ready.
then we jumped into the truck and headed to the wedding. and it turned out to be one of the most beautiful wedding i’ve ever been too. a very happy ending to a very happy day. the timing of everything couldn’t have been any more perfect.
